Heavy lift berth

Liberty Terminals Savannah has just received the permit from the Army Corp of Engineers to build a new state of the art heavy lift berth.

The work will consist of demolishing the existing structures and constructing a new berth that will extend 650 feet west of the existing 1300 feet of newly refurbished dock already in place. The new heavy lift berth will have rail tracks right up to the apron. The rail will be served by CSX. The upgrade once complete will be able to handle cargo in excess of 500 MT.
